Overview

We welcome this opportunity to present an “Overview of our company” and introduce you to the range of services that we provide.

We are proud to have delivered a comprehensive professional and cost effective range of services to our clients since 1995. Over this period we have developed the company to a medium sized business, employing now over 215 staff.  Projected turnover for 2008 is 6 million following turnover of 5.45 million in 2007.

Expectations and plans for the future are based upon similar growth patterns with planned turnover of £10 million by 2010

Grounds Maintenance Services and Landscape Construction

We have over thirty years experience of the grounds maintenance and landscape construction industry, both in the public and private sectors.  The Company has a wide range of customers which include primarily local authorities, housing associations (RSL’s), utilities, airports, power stations and plc construction companies.

By having a close understanding of our clients requirements and by providing a “one-stop” centre for landscaping services, we are able to deliver an exacting and tailor made service to all clients.  Our clients realise that all work arising from the contracts will be professionally managed from the planning stages right through to finished result.

Much of our business growth is derived by developing effective trading partnerships with clients and from repeat business and custom.

Since January 2008, Vale Contract Services Ltd now focuses on the delivery of Grounds Maintenance Contracts and business, whilst the newly formed Vale Construction (North West) Ltd focuses on the delivery of external works packages, hard landscaping and minor civil engineering.

Quality and Service

We are members of the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) and we are also a DETR Constructionline approved contractor. (registration number 19543).

Our aim is to supply a reliable and quality service, enabling all our customers to concentrate on their own core business activity, whilst leaving us to deliver our specialist range of services.

Team Leaders

All our team leaders are experienced landscapers, possessing various qualifications including Diploma in Horticulture, Landscaping Certificates in Horticulture, NVQ II, PA 1 and PA6a, Chainsaw Certificates and First Aid Knowledge etc. the company is also a member of CITB, with all Landscape Construction staff qualified at various levels under CSCS.

 We were recognised by our trade association training organisation in 1998, with a national award for our commitment to the training of staff. Training and the development of staff continues to underpin the services provided to customers.

The company has committed itself to the Investors in People programme and has been accredited to the standard since June 2004’

The company is registered to the ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO 14001:2001 standards for its Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems.

Location

Our head office is based at Ruthin in Denbighshire with regional offices in Chester serving the North West, Leek serving the West Midlands, Derby serving the East Midlands and Middlesbrough serving the North East. We have local depots at Preston, Connahs Quay, Ripley, Congleton, Warrington, Wolverhampton, Oakham, Newton Abbot, Malvern and Castle Donington.

Our qualified staff who are directly employed by us, cover a wide operational area throughout the North and Mid Wales, the North West of England, East and West Midlands, the South West and the North East of England.
